Notice of Service Changes
In accordance with UCLA's observance of winter holidays, EH&S will observe winter break beginning Saturday, December 21, 2024 through Tuesday, January 1, 2025, reopening Thursday, January 2, 2025. All services will be impacted. No visitors will be able to access the office during the closure; please plan accordingly.
- Serious Injury Hotline
- The EH&S Serious Injury Hotline at (310) 825-9797, will remain operable for reporting serious employee injuries.
- Controlled Substance Program
- The EH&S Central Service Desk will be CLOSED beginning Monday, December 16, 2024 through Friday, January 3, 2025. Last day to order in 2024 will be December 2.
- PPE Distribution Program
- The PPE Distribution Program will be closed beginning Friday, December 13, 2024 through Friday, January 3, 2025. Last days to order in 2024 will be December 9.
- Regulated Medical Waste
- Regulated medical waste pickups will be scheduled for December 23 and December 30, 2024. Sites will operate as normal, as determined by each building's operating hours over the closure. Routine regulated medical waste pickups will resume January 2, 2025.
- Hazardous Waste
- The Hazardous Waste Program will be CLOSED Monday, December 23, 2024 through Wednesday, January 1 2025. The Hazardous Waste Program will be CLOSED Monday, December 23, 2024 through Wednesday, January 1 2025.
- Radiation Waste / RAM Package Receipt
- Radioactive waste pickups and RAM package receipts will be closed December 16, 2024 through January 3, 2025. Radioactive waste pickups and RAM package receipts will resume January 6, 2024. Please see the memo.
- UCLA Fire
- UCLA Fire Division will have normal operations (6 a.m. to 12 a.m.) until Friday, December 20, 2024. Fire-1 will operate from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., December 23, 26, 27 and 30, 2024. UCLA Fire Division and Fire-1 will not be on duty during all scheduled university holidays and weekends. The Fire Marshal On-Call (FMOC) is available when Fire-1 is not in service. Normal business operations resume Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 6 a.m.
