Lab Coat Satisfaction Survey
UCLA’s PPE & Lab Coat Distribution Program is a cost-sharing program that provides labs with minimum personal protective equipment (PPE). Principal Investigators (PI) are responsible for ensuring that adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) is available to their lab workers.
The PPE & Lab Coat Distribution Program submits an annual request for funding to purchase new inventory. We will provide supplies throughout the year at a 50% cost share while supplies last.
- Volunteers/Students who will work in the lab for at least 12 months.
- If an employee's scope of work has changed and an additional type of coat is needed.
- pregnant employees can request a temporary larger coats
(2) x Lab coat of each type based on work requirements
(1) x pair of safety glasses, (excludes prescription glasses). Types of over glasses are limited to styles available
(1) x pair of other types of PPE (e.g. chemical splash goggles, cryo apron)

If you work for the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry complete STEP 1 and then go to 1224YH for pick up. If they do not have your size email us

- Once your order is ready we either mail it as requested or send you pick up information. Current processing time is 10-15 days minimum.

There is an $ 20.69 processing fee per appointment.
Donations- Lab coats can be donated to the central service desk (CHS A6-060H) for recirculation back into the program. These lab coats are inspected by EH&S employees and are submitted for laundering and are provided at $0 to new users as refurbished.
Exchanges - If you have a coat that is in good condition but doesn't fit anymore you can exchange your coat refurbished one if available. If we do not have a refurbished one available and a new coat needs to be purchased we can do so for your lab with our UCLA discount. The 50% cost share is only available for new employees.

UCLA has a campus vendor agreement that can be referenced when the school or department sets up the purchase order.
